From 1st August 2025, a new €80.00 + VAT restore fee will apply to .IE domains that are renewed during the redemption period.
What Is Changing?
.ie domains that are not renewed by their expiry date currently benefit from a 45-day grace period, during which they can still be renewed at the standard renewal rate.
From 1st August 2025, the process will change as follows:
-
Domains will remain renewable at the standard rate within the first 45 days of expiry.
-
After 45 days, the domain will enter a 30-day redemption period.
-
If renewed during this redemption window, an additional fee of €80.00 + VAT will be charged along with the standard renewal cost.
-
Once the 30-day redemption period ends, the domain will become unavailable for renewal and will be released back to the public approximately 5 days later.
What This Means for Ten10 Clients
If your domain is renewed within 45 days of expiry, no extra charges will apply.
If the domain falls into redemption, the restore fee will be applied in addition to the regular renewal cost. To avoid this, we recommend ensuring your domain renewals are completed well before the end of the 45-day grace period.
You can view the status of your domain(s) and manage renewals via your Ten10 client account. Automatic renewal is also available to help ensure your domains remain active without manual intervention.
